Done McNamara rides at the top level in Dressage Ireland. He is a dressage judge and is himself trained by
Conrad Schumacher.
Donie comes to North Dublin once a month - March to November - to teach. His lessons usually run on Wednesdays and Thursdays. They are are 45 minute private lessons. He caters for all standards from primary to advanced open.
He brought the Ashbrook Dressage team to victory 3 years ago in the Festival.

Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Freestyle Dressage to Music, But Were Afriad to Ask:

Leinster Leinster Dressage is hosting a talk on riding freestyle dressage to music.National and FEI Official International Para Equestrian Dressage Judge and trainer Alison Mastin-Moore will explain the rules and judging of freestyle and international rider and trainer Anne MarieDunphy will explain how to go about preparing your routine and music.
This evening is aimed particularly at those who have not tried freestyle before.
The talk will take place at the Horse Sport Ireland offices in Millennium Park, Osberstown, Naas, County Kildare (Click here for map) on Monday 9 March 2009, starting at 7pm.
Due to the limited space, places must be pre-booked.
Tickets cost €10 for Dressage Ireland members and €15 for non-members.

Would You Like to Improve your Lungeing Skills?
Leinster Dressage is considering organising one or more lungeing clinics, open to both members and non-members of Dressage Ireland.
The clinics will be provided by Irish international rider and EFI level II coach Maureen Dwyer at Sunset House Stud, Butlerstown, Dunboyne, County Meath.
Each clinic will have a maximum of 15 participants and run for approximately two and a half to threehours.
The topics covered will be:
- Basic safety considerations
- Attire/footwear/head gear/gloves
- Where to lunge
- Basic equipment
- Purposes and benefits of lungeing
- Dos and don'ts of lungeing
- Introducing the horse to the lunge
- Use of voice aids, lunge line and whip
- Basic lunge work out
- Correct way of going
- Correct use of training aids
- Trouble-shooting
- Hands-on session - each participant will get an opportunity to lunge
- Lunging the more advanced horse (demonstration)
- Q and A
Cost will be €25 for members of Dressage Ireland, €30 for non-members.
